About 10 percent of teenage girls suffer from depression. Depressed girls are two times more than depressed boys. It is easy to make out that a girl has certain problems when she constantly feel unhappy.

They become irritable, show low performance at school and often feel physical pain, this coincides with the onset of puberty. Family falling apart

Depression in teenage girls may be caused by family problems – for example a family falling apart and or child abuse and neglect. This usually happens with the help of popular culture – movies, fashion, celebrities, etc. That is why girls that have problems with appearance are sometimes mean, – they are frustrated because they do not resemble their idols. Very often, an ambition that is hard to fulfill (for example, being perfect at school) leads to major depressive disorders.

Help a depressed teenage girl

To be able to help a depressed teenage girl, one should be more insightful when it comes to personal taste, culture and desires. It is typical for depression in teens that the problem may happen to be not where the parents are look in order to solve it, as mentioned above, ‘Scoliosis, curvature of the spine’. Creative and social activities can be encouraged to help the girl to let go of low self-esteem.

Teenage girls seem to be prone to developing depressive disorders. To have a strong personality, a girl should develop a realistic look on life and get rid of a lot of misperceptions.

Being able to do this without the use of drugs is undoubtedly a step in the right direction. A new approach is to change the ‘core energy’ of the condition.
